Vitamins and Minerals – Are Your Vitamins and Minerals Enough?

Vitamins are substances the body needs to maintain the health of our tissues and organs. One example is the vitamin B complex, found in oranges, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, eggplant, salmon, liver, spinach, and apricots.

Although many people have heard that fruits and vegetables are great for you, they may not always provide the number of vitamins and minerals you need. If you have a good amount of vitamin C in your diet, you may find that a large amount of your body’s immune system is made up of beta-carotene. If you want to get more of this substance, it is recommended that you eat more carrots. You may also want to consider taking multivitamins that contain supplemental B complex if you’re going to increase the amount of vitamin C in your body.
